Is there a way (e.g. custom tag import rule) to ignore files tags on import or delete/remove/clean tags from the files themselves on import? I only want to do this for certain watched directories (e.g. home videos where devices sometimes write annoying tags I don't want/need).
I don't mind how this is achieved - in fact it would be quite good if the tags are deleted from the files as per tools/remove tags - but I do need it to be automated during an import.
Not sure if there is a custom tag rule can achieve this (short of setting every single tag as empty as a brute force effort!)
The only other thing was to use Core Command 23028, but there isn't a way of specifying a particularly directory to execute the command?

good question for u tv users and burners....will watch this thread

I would also love the option to ignore existing tags when new video files are auto-imported, for the same reasons mentioned above. Removing them altogether would be an added bonus.

If I understand correctly, I think I asked for something similar in the past: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,106485.msg751141.html#msg751141 but it was not considered something worth pursuing.

Possibly. I guess it depends if there is a custom command to set all tags to empty or a way of calling the remove tags function for a specific directory.
There are some real wizards with custom expressions on the forum, was hoping to get confirmation from one of those guys.
