Title: VST plugin window resizing
Post by: Boerd on January 31, 2018, 11:48:18 am
1. The VST plugin window is not re-sizeable
2. When resizing the larger window (the container window) the plugin window stays fixed in size.

This means a lot of good plugins have windows that are too small - especially on a 4k laptop like mine.
Is this something that will be fixed and when?

BTW - thanks for JRiver MC - I love it.

I'm not sure there's any way around this.  I think VST plugins are just a fixed size.

I just tried editing the code to use a bigger rectangle, but it just stayed the same size on my system.

Thanks for replying :)
Sooo - is this likely to stay as is in the future?

Some VST plugins have their own scaling in their settings. You can use Windows 10 scaling, but it may not work on all plugins. You can also use the Windows Magnifier.

I just send 1080p to my 4K display to avoid issues like this.

Well, I was wrong!
I just installed from ToneBoosters the v4 plugins - they are all resizable! JRiver is flawless.
IF you can't resize a plugin - it is due to the plugin itself!
