I use unRAID for my server, and occasionally I get warned about some files/folders that have an owner set to something other than nobody users.
I believe MC is changing it to chris users when I either create or move files around.
Is there any way to ensure JRiver uses nobody users for all file and folder permissions, instead of chris users (as an example)?
I did a bit of quick testing and it seems MC keeps permissions the same as it moves files around, but if it needs to create a folder, or a file like folder.jpg file, or sidecar file, it assigns the new file the 'wrong' permissions (chris users).
Can this be changed? Can I do it, or is it programmatic?

more testing, and when I tell MC to save cover art in the file, it obviously rewrites the audio file, and it changes permissions/owner for this process also. So it seems any time MC writes a file it gives chris users instead of nobody users, which is what I'd prefer.
