Wondering if someone can confirm if either (both of these features exist in the new version.
1) album artwork searching the internet: I name all artists in the format xxx,The (eg, Cure, The, Smiths, The) which breaks the logic for going the manual album artwork lookup on internet from within MC. Is there an option (tick box etc) to treat The, as I use it above and allow searching to happen?
2) when full screen artwork is displayed, allow a 'screen saver' type option if other artwork exists in the folder? I have folder, disc, tray etc all in the same folder as my ripped music, and having a slideshow would be a bit more interesting that just the same single image for the duration of an entire album.
I suppose lastly, is there an 'export all my settings' and 'import into new version' guide?
Regards,
Arthur.

MC23 can find a library and convert it. This only goes back a couple of versions, so you would probably need to install MC20 or MC21 first and get it to upgrade.
1. No change, no change anticipated. Naming is the problem. MC can do it for you. Name your artist The Smiths, then set the option. Search options for "articles". There is a search window at the bottom of the options page.
2. MC will use art stored in sub-folders with certain names. Try a search here. From memory, "Art" or "Artwork" may work.

2) Read from this post onwards: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114439.msg791459.html#msg791459
3) There are lots of discussions on the forum. Search is your friend. I have described it a few times to varying degrees. The only possible issue is that a MC19 Library may not correctly import directly into MC23 and retain all settings and data, because of Library database changes. You can try it, and if it doesn't work, just install a MC20 trail version, restore the MC19 library backup which will be converted to MC20, then create a MC20 backup, then try that backup in MC23. If it doesn't work, install a MC21 trial, restore the MC20 backup, etc.
You may be able to find out in which versions of MC the library database changed. I don't remember. It may be in the early release notes for each version. https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Release_Notes
MC backups include the Library and system settings. You have the option of restoring both when you restore a backup, or just the Library.
Just make sure that you make and keep MC backups until you have successfully upgraded to MC23 and are happy with the data.

For the information of the OP (Author) and any future readers:
It seems that MC19 can be directly upgrade to MC23, using a backup from MC19 and restoring it into MC23. See https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,111809.0.html
Officially, from the boss:
MC23 can restore a backup from MC20, MC21, MC22, or MC23.
