Title: Genre doesn't (always) show list in tagging window

I can't figure out why it does or doesn't work, but most of the time, if I click the dropdown arrow for Genre, I get a blank list, and typing doesn't automatically populate Genres that match what I'm typing.

Sometimes it does show the list, and typing prompts the matching list (like I expect).

if you just click on an album for tagging, this happens

if you click on one or more tracks, the list appears
