Title: 24bit/96khz support
Post by: vinchoi on June 17, 2003, 08:43:15 pm
Does Media Center 9 support DVD with 24bit/96KHz? WinDVD 4 Platiumsupprt 24/96 without down-conversion.  I used WinDVD for playing Chesky DVD-V. The result is astonishing.

I love the user-interface of MC9. It will be great if it support 24/96.

I would say yes (if and only if your soundcard supports 24bit/96KHz). I haven't seen any posts around here that have said otherwise. MC can directly handle audio files of that depth/res. For DVD playback, my bet is that MC more or less passes the audio directly to the soundcard. If it's capable, then your in like Flint.
