Title: HEVC mkv files crash Media Center on resume play

I recently used Handbrake to compress my h.264 mkv files to h.265 (hevc)

Now, if I play an HEVC  video that I am half way through and I want to resume play from where I left off, Media Center crashes every time.
I have to use Task Manager to shut down MC and restart

Is there an error log you would need to see to help debug this for me?

That's not a crash if you need to use Task Manager to end MC.  It's hanging, as you describe it.  Let it go to see if it comes back.  MC may be converting from the beginning again.

Are you playing locally, or from a network location?
