Volume Protection is a great feature to have, since it limits the rate of volume change and prevents you from accidentally going straight to 100% volume.
However it is also a frustrating feature because it always starts playback at 20% volume.
It would be great if Volume Protection obeyed the "startup volume" setting.
That way it could start up at something like 50% but still limit the rate of change

Coming in the next build of MC24:
Changed: Volume Protection will start at the startup volume level, if it is set, instead of 20%.

Awesome, thank you.

Nice request RD.
I have been frustrated by that issue as well, and just never got around to asking for a change. I had Volume Protection turned off on my Workstation because of it.
Now implemented and works as expected. Much better.
