Title: Library loading only in read only mode.

Hi,
Am using MC 23 for MAC, running on IOS High Sierra.The library loads only in a read only mode, and all data is lost each time I shut down MC.Each time I turn on , it takes around 2 hours to load the library, and that too in read only mode.Kindly suggest a solution.

Is it possible that another session of MC is open?

Try rebooting everything.

Jim is right, it almost sounds like another Media Center instance is running. Do you use Media Server or have Media Center running at login? If so, MC might be running with an icon at the top right near the clock. You might want to check the Activity Monitor app in macOS for any running Media Center 23 instances.

Another thought comes to mind... you are running Media Center 23 from the Applications folder, correct? You're not mounting the .dmg image file and running the Media Center 23 app from inside there, right? Media Center needs to be dragged and dropped into the Applications folder and ran from the Applications folder, otherwise you'll encounter weird issues, possibly like this.

Tried rebooting,reinstalling MC 23, after uninstalling earlier downloads.The problem still persists.When auto import begins, i still get the message that the database is read only , and changes will not be saved.Any suggestion?Should I use an earlier version of MC?
