Title: [Request] RMC Tool: Show Changed / Unchanged Files
Post by: RD James on March 10, 2018, 06:40:21 am
I have just been updating some of my renaming presets, as I am in the process of reorganizing the way that my library is structured.
It would be very useful if there was a way to filter the preview window to display all files, changed files only, and unchanged files only.

It would also be useful to have a [Seq] column in the preview to see where you are in a list, and somewhere in the RMC window that counted the changed / total files in the current operation.

For example: the most recent change that I made only updated 2 out of 7000 files.
That worked exactly as I had intended, and I hopefully won't have to make any further changes to this rule now.
However to build that rule I had to pick a small sample of files to work on, check that it was OK, and once it seemed to be working I had to go over that list of 7000 files with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that the rule was only hitting the intended files.
It took three attempts to get this rule right, as the sample files I chose worked as intended but then I found others which did not work correctly when applied to the full set.

I like those suggestions.

I'm still working through a bunch of tagging, but when that is done I will be doing wholesales RMCF runs. These changes would make that a lot easier.

So +1.
