Hey, any chance you could implement the "aac" conversion in the convert-to list..?
I know it's possible with the external converter, but it does not always work..!
Since AAC is now the "official lossy standard", it really should be built-in the new MC24.

I don't know about "official lossy standard" but I would appreciate it if AAC was used for automatic conversions (such as streaming to JRemote) rather than MP3.

I think Hendrik or someone else had said they were wanting to get AAC streaming support into future versions. No idea what kind of progress has been made there though.
AAC He v2 etc sure would be great tho

Can we get an update from JRiver on plans for AAC integration into JRiver (not just via external encoder)? Is is nearly 2019 and .mp3 is nearly extinct.

.mp3 is nearly extinct.
Not really, IMO. MP3, for better or for worse, is very much alive and well. It's still widely used even though AAC is superior to MP3.
