Title: MediaCentre Updates
Post by: LonWar on June 16, 2003, 03:59:05 pm
Hello, I am thinking about purchasing this software and I was wondering if someone could tell me, How long I am entitled to receive free updates/upgrades for??

Some programs are lifetime and some are 1 year.....

Thanks,

well i have been around here for about 3 years (when i hit 10,000 posts JimH The CEO said he would Buy me A New Car If I Give Him My YuGo)

As it has been you get any update for that version as long as they put out upgrades to that version.

It has been all users who Buy lets say MJ7 also could use MJ8 and all revisions to MJ8

thats the way it has been in the past, i don't know what the future will bring.

PS. My YuGo Is Blue

I don't know how you get your information, but it is uncanny.  This weekend, I found what I was looking for.  It's not a HumVee but still....

Jim I Picked 15 Tomatoes Today

All of Them Bigger Than a Baseball 3 of Them As Big As a Softball.

Me and Sue Made 4 BLT's (They Were Very Good)

Nothing like Fresh Tomatoes

=====================================

What are you going to do with the truck?, Mount Your Saw Horse on the Back? Carry Fire Wood From That Tree Of Yours?

PS Hummv's have there own problems, Generator Bolts, And Glow Plugs Other than that they will take you were you want to go.

I'm jealous.  My tomatoes are about a foot high and haven't thought about blooming.

I had a lot of bacon in Nebraska over the weekend.  Two eggs, potatoes, bacon, white toast, coffee, and steady abuse from the waitress for about $5.

I think the truck would give me good cover for running around the ranches.  They change the conversation there when they smell city folk.

You can have it when I wear it out.

That would be right after a trip to the grocery store, looks like. :p

Back to topic, buying MC 9 will get this guy updates through 9 and may into 10, yes?

I can't answer that; I can just say what the past has been.

To tell you the truth by the past comments from J river. I don't think JimH can answer that question. They normally don't make that decision until release of the next version.

So the thing we can know for sure is that we (cause I just bought 9, since my reg for 7 wasn't in the records ANYWHERE and I hate pushing a rope with admin types) can get any update for version 9... but not sure of any further updates till the merry day when 9 is obsolete.

Since 9 is still pretty much beta, that'll be quite a while, presumably!  ;D

My thinking is that if it will be a free upgrade to MC10 from MC9 will be in 8 Months if things work as normal.

JimH adopted me when I was 51 and he does not tell me what is going on 1\2 the time.
