Title: Live Internet Connection Required?

All of my media files are located locally and sometimes my internet connection is dead.  This is the time that I really want to access my video library.

Does Media Center require a live internet connection to "phone home" in order for me to access the media?

After the first install of Media Center, and sometimes after updating it, it has to download/update certain components required for media playback.
Once these have been downloaded you do not need an internet connection for playback.
