I cannot restore my MJ License because I bought it on the early promotion. What can I do?
-
Did you have a look here........
Restoring your liscense (http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/restore.html)
If you did, and you still have a problem, one of the JRiver guys will be around shortly to fix you up.
Don't fret though, I'm sure things will be OK :)

I have tried all of the above. I guess someone from JRiver will have to take my license file and fix it. Is this possible?

the license file is only good for 14 days, you need to restore from the internet restore page.
if you do not know your license code you can have the restore page send it to you in your E-mail.

If I want to install the beta's to test them, but then uninstall them and go back to MC 9.0, can I do that without having to "restore" my license?
Thanks,

I would wait on 9.1
there are some tagging and other problems
but the library format has changed and you will need to backup your library files so you can use them if you go back to 9.0
you should not need need to use a restore unless you uninstall registry entries

Thanks KingSparta-
I'm currently experimenting with 9.1. I just got a new machine and am contemplating upgrading my MJ8 license to the MC one. I wanted to know whether I should just go with 9.0 or try 9.1. I assume that you have to manually remove the MC entries in the registry entry for it to be a problem, and that regular uninstalls don't remove registry entries?
Thanks,

you can install over old versions.
the only problem now a MC9.1 install does not remove the MC9.0 install in the Add & Remove in windows so you will have mc9.0 and mc9.1 in add and remove.
that can be fixed by hacking the registry however.

I was wondering about installing an older stable version over a newer one. Is that just done by uninstalling the new one and installing the old one? If so, does the license info need to be restored? Or am I all set?
Thanks for the help.
