Title: Images tags

I plan to scan my photo albums and organize them using MC.

How do you handle image tags?  Does exist some standard for tagging (as in MP3 files)?

I tried to tag a image using MC, and the JPG file has been modificated, and I've seen the information has been saved inside the file.

I am interested about the consequencues of this file modification. Can I still open the JPG image using any other software? Would the tag information remain if I save the image using another software?  

What image format should I use for store and tag my photos? Any advice?

None

You can save the inside or outside the file.

the cover art files are also in the default cover art folder.
