Title: [Feature request] Select switch for Adaptive Volume - Video/Music/All
Post by: seanmcdougall on April 17, 2018, 08:53:48 am
Hi, I'm writing to request a new feature - a toggle for Adaptive Volume that allows it to Video/Music/All. Here's why:

When I listen to music, I like to send it to the amp completely unprocessed - that way I can enjoy the rise and fall of the volume exactly as intended.

When I watch a film, I go to Tools/ Options/ Audio/ Adaptive Volume and select night mode. That way I can hear the quiet bits of dialogue without disturbing my neighbours when the explosions start.

However, nine times out of 10 I forget to re-set it at the end of the film. The next day, I put some music on and wonder why it sounds so compressed. Then I remember - but it's a frustration and spoils my enjoyment of the first song.

It would really help if we could have a setting that allows us to specify which audio and video formats Adaptive Volume should be applied to. A Video/Music/All setting would do the job perfectly.

Hope you can help.
Sean
