Title: JRiver and Bose Companion 5 USB Speaker Setup
Post by: Sky King on April 17, 2018, 09:05:02 am
Hi folks,

I installed a new speaker system on my Windows 10 computer.  It's a Bose Companion 5 USB speaker system that emulate 5.1 surround sound with a 2.1 hardware setup.  It is connected via USB.

When I play music, JRiver MC24 says that the output is 320kbps regardless of the format of the input files up to and including DSF.  I have been unable to find any way to change this if, indeed, it is possible at all using the USB speaker setup.

Any thoughts on where, of if, I should look further?

Thanks much!

Hello. I have those speakers on my PC as well. They are working fine with JRiver. I don't understand well what your problem is. Could you please elaborate a little bit more? If you play MP3, Flac or DSF... is JRiver showin 320kbps on all of those formats?

On DSP Studio un-check the output Format.
