There are a few bugs in MC where a window will pop-up a child window but behind it in the z-order so the user never knows it even exists and cannot do anything in the blocking frontmost window until by luck discovering the pop-up behind it. For example under DSP settings try uninstalling a plugin. Once you select the plugin a pop-up occurs behind the DSP settings window with a confirmation to delete.
