Title: Brand new user

I'm brand new to computer audio and want to audition MC.  I am a mac user (High Sierra).  Should I download MC24 or one of the older versions?  I ask because not knowing how it works, will the experience be complicated by MC24 being in development (unstable?)?

You should try the latest available version (24.0.16). Chances are bigger that bugs get fixed in that one than in the latest 23 version (if they haven't been fixed meanwhile already). User experience should be similar.
