Title: MC9, WebRemote & Audrey
Post by: brianblank on June 04, 2003, 04:57:55 pm
I just d/l'ed MC to try out as a solution for my whole home PC based audio system.  I have several Audrey's around the house that I would like to use to control MC.  I have installed the WebRemote plugin and I am able to control MC from all the PCs in my house.  However, the Audrey attempts to resolve the "http://localhost:8080" address as "http://localhost:8080.com"

Any suggestions?  I am sure there is a simple way to fix this error.

Also, how would I go about changing the layout of the pages in the WebRemote plug in?

Thanks,
Brian

Change the 'localhost' to the IP of the machine running the webremote (and port)..

For customization it would be nice to have some more tools... Even using DHTML and some CSS pages could get some good functionality out of the Webremote that is a little plain currently...

IIRC the Audry's are QSX ?? Can they run flash apps ? If so try Glissando on them (you will need the old Webremote plug in) or look into Netremote and see if you can compile anything from that ??

Is there a way to modify the html pages that are used in Web Remote?  I love the functionality, but would like to change the layout, add some graphics, etc.  Glissando looks great, but Audrey wont work with it (Flash, etc.)

Thanks,
Brian

Another vote for the ability to stylize the HTML code for the WebRemote (Remote Server) ....
