Title: Zoom level not saving
Post by: hoyt on April 28, 2018, 07:39:26 am
I noticed this after upgrading to MC24, but hadn't gotten around to testing.  When I open M24, my icons are small (21 across my screen).  I set the zoom level to be larger (~5 across).  When I close and reenter, this isn't saved and it's back to 21 covers across.

Never noticed this before on MC23 and I have to imagine I would have.  Should this be saving when I exit?  I'm changing the horizontal scroll bar in the upper right of the screen.  Thanks!

I had the same problem (in version 23, too).
Setting the size to 100 % solved the problem.

Hmm, I changed my size to 100% (View > Size) and it's still reverting back to small thumbnails when I close and reopen.

Hmm, that solved the problem for me but if that didn't work for you I don't know a solution.
Where are the experts?

If you're using MC as a client for another copy of MC (server), then set it on the server.

I'm using MC24.0.20 in standalone mode (server?) and my icons were just as copied from MC22 library ie 5 per row. Then I changed them to about 20 and restarted MC, and the change wasn't saved. It went back to the original 5 per row. Mac OS 10.9.7.

Correction! I was getting confused between different versions of MC, and now see that I misunderstood the original question.

Ah - interesting.  That made a difference, but it's fairly weird.  On my server, I zoomed in so that it was 5 covers wide.  When I closed and re-opened MC on the client, the icons were larger that before, but they were 11 across.
