Title: Last version that is XP compatible
Post by: Greg6510 on April 30, 2018, 06:31:02 pm
Hi everyone,

What is the last JRiver Media Center that is XP compatible?

I have an XP computer in my summer home that I'm wanting to run.  I'm only there a couple times a year, so it's not worth purchasing a new computer.  Thanks!

Are you managing your library from it or just playing from it?

IMO you'd be better off streaming from your home to your device using one of the remote apps and then to a speaker/s - either wired or BT.

Or, if you have your music on an external HDD, an idPi is only $99. Plug it into a TV via HDMI or speakers and you can listen to your content through that and control it with one of the apps or Panel.

A new computer isn't necessary. We have the technology :-)

MC23 should still work on Windows XP, although we don't recommend that combination since its basically untested.
