Title: Media Center 24 crash issues
Post by: Pack66184 on May 05, 2018, 05:46:31 am
I haven't been able to use MC24 yet, it has consistently crashed after opening. Is there an option or tool in the software to send a report? I have reverted back to MC23. In the try and fail process to install MC24, I have deleted both builds from my Mac Mini without success. I have not seen anyone else post similar issues ~ suggestions?

Make sure you're using 24.0.20 from here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,115729.0.html

I got MC24.0.20 play ok on mac mini 2102 i5 w/10GB and OS10.9.7, and USB HDD and SLC mSD drives with music. Had problems getting audio with MC24.0.18 but didn't really troubleshoot.

Well, that build is working and no issues so far. ;)

I've set up MC24 on my Raspberry Pi, but when I try to import a DLNA library from my Synology, media river seems to hang in a loop or something, no reaction or no sign of something happening, I can't even close MC24, I need to restart my Pi. I've downloaded the latetst Beta version.

Import from the NAS, not from DLNA.  DLNA might work on a faster machine, but may not work on the Pi.

I mounted my Synology via NFS on my Raspberry pi with Stretch. It works for a minute or so, than MC 24 closes and needs to be restarted. No problem though with local files on the SD card. I tried wifi or LAN, but with the same outcome.

Sorry, the problem seem to be solved in the latest build 24.0.36  ;D
I first did only apt-get update and install of mediacenter I found in installing MC on the Rasberry pi, but after I found some more instructions how to set up in Debian/Ubuntu/Linux I have no problems with streaming from my NAS via NFS.  :D

My JRiver  Media center just upgraded to Media center 24.0.39.  I play all my music through a Bel Canto Ref Stream which sits in my network and has always shown up in J River.  Occasionally it doesn't show up and then I have to turn off the Ref Stream and restart JRiver to get it to show up again but it always does show up.

Since this latest upgrade to version 24.0.39 JRiver no longer finds my Bel canto ref stream no matter what I do leaving me with no music.  I am now using media center 23 again

Try rebooting and power cycling.  It's not the update.

I turned everything off and restarted already twice and it didn't work.  24 was working up until the update.  23 is working fine and immediately found the Bel Canto.  Any other ideas?

thanks
Tom

Don't know if it makes a difference but the upgrade wouldn't upgrade for a number of days from just starting up JRiver.  Then we got it off the forum.  It kept saying upgrade failed
