Title: "MRUCommandCount" reghack request.
Post by: Marko on June 11, 2003, 01:07:43 am
Can't seem to hit the right search string. Anyone remember how it went again?

And while I'm at it, was it correct that it only moved choices to the top of right-click on a per-session basis. ie. exit and restart MC, and the sticky right-click options are forgotten?

I'm not sure but this is SUCH a nice feature, I'm having the same problem too.
Please add it to the options page.

Why hide such a good feature in the registry so it's forgotten about?

got it.......

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Jukebox\MRUCommandCount

8) 8)

9.1 still doesn't remember this stuff. Close and reopen MC and the info is lost. So, we have 2 questions.....

1. Please can MRUCommandCount remember where it was at?
2. Please can we set this value from the "options" dialogue?

It sticks here.  I set it once and never set it again...  Might be it has to be set in LOCAL MACHINE rather than CURRENT USER???

I think it was keystonecop who set this in LOCAL_MACHINE and it didn't work for him. When I talk about it "remembering" I mean .....

It does remember the setting I make for MRUCommandCount, say I set it to 4.... the 4 commands are then added to the top of the context menu. All good so far.....
Now, if I restart MC, those 4 commands that were on top of the righ-click in the last session are gone, and MC starts adding them again afresh based on usage during this current session. So, the number of commands set in MRUCommandCount is remembered, but the commands themselves are not.

Didn't reealise you were talking about the commands sticking across sessions, just the count.  My bad.  Would be good.  I'll give you my vote ;D

Mine too.

And a vote for this to have a setting in Options.
