My library and playlists have got out of sync.
Can somebody please help me with a means of identifying which tracks aren't on a playlist? Is there a Smartlist modifier for "not equal to"? Is there a means of showing a "playlist" column in Music Library?

If you go to the Search Wizard (click the magnifier icon), you'll see an option in the "Add rule" menu, namely, "Playlist...". Through that, you can select your playlists and then at the bottom of the dialog box choose to include are exclude items found in the selected playlist(s).
As far as a column dedicated to a file's playlist membership, I don't think so. The problem is that is an unconstrained field meaning there can be zero, one, or many matches. How would they display that?
Of course, there is the "List" functionality with I am not very familiar with, so may that's your ticket. <shrug>
