Title: 32 bit version shut down after a few minutes
Post by: stanzani on May 21, 2018, 03:01:10 am
Hello team
I have a weird problem since a couple of days

BACKGROUND
I have installed both 32 and 64 bit versions of JRiver 24.0.27 on my 64 bits Windows 10 system. I am actually using JRiver 32 bit since the Dirac Live VST plugins does not work @32bit. The target DAC is an RME ADI2 PRO using the MADIFACE ASIO driver. DSP studio is enabled and programmed to convert everything to 24@96

PROBLEM
After some minutes (<5) JRiver 32 stop playing and kill himself (I see the mediacenter service in backgroung still srunning using task manager though). JRiver 64 works fine

I played around with many option (1st of all disabling DSP studio) and changing the RME MAdiface drive oprion with no joy. I tried kernel stream and WASAPI as well, and also AIO4ALL

The 32bit version works fine as server (I am playing right now from my office PC)

please help

Does 32 bit MC work if you don't load the VST?

You might need to uninstall the plug-in.

I focused on the Dirac Live plugin and it sorted out my evaluation license expired. So I uninstalled the plugin and JRiver is back, up and running
thanks much
