Good day, friends :)
I have a (almost) new laptop with Intel HD 620 and NVIDIA 940MX GPU. Screen resolution is 3840x2160.
Sometimes I connect it with HDMI to my AVR->Projector, which is 1920x1080.
I use JRiver for watching ripped TV shows and Movies, or YouTube, or listening on my FLAC collection.
Is there any gain in running JRiver on the NVIDIA GPU?
I've tried it, but then JRiver became sluggish, and audio/video out of sync. And I couldn't see any big difference regarding video quality, not on my laptop anyway. Besides, it looked like both GPU were running at the same time....
For my JRiver video settings, see attachment. I use same settings when running on HD 620 or NVIDIA GPU.

Have you got the latest nvidia drivers on your laptop?

Yes, always up to date (397.93). Computer still sluggish when running on NVIDIA GPU.

Was just searching the geforce site looking at upgrading my video card and came across a piece about drivers for geforce 940MX mobile laptop GPU, it says you should only install nvidia drivers from the laptop manufacturers website here is a link to the discussion

Thought it might be relevant to your sluggish 940mx's performance.

Thanks for the tip :)
I've installed the original NVIDIA driver on my laptop, lets see how it goes.
