Title: Install Error: Media Center was installed for a different operating system.

i just upgraded to MC24 and find myself in an install infinite cycle.
it happened right after i uninstalled the old MC22.
when i attempt to start up MC24, it pops up a message box stating:

"Media Center was installed for a different operating system.
Please reinstall Media Center."

i already did 2 reinstalls!
same stupid error box.
please advise...

What OS?

Try installing as admin.

it had nothing to do with admin.
i had to run it in windows 8 compatibility mode.
why? only mc24 knows.

i'm running on win10.
right after install, it ran just fine.
it seemed right after i set the registration code, it would not run.
mc24 needs to finesse its os checks...
