How can I get the nice PLAY window from JR23 in JR24?

See enclosed jr23_2018-06-06_18-03-59.jpg.

Installed JR24 over JR23 and now it looks awful by default: jr24_2018-06-06_18-04-44.jpg

Also when I select a menu the background shins through the menu and makes them unreadable.

I don't understand all these (classic) changes.

MC uses skins.  You can set them under the View Menu.

The dark one is Noire.

I've set it under

Options / Theater View / Appearance -> Skin Noire

restarted JR24 - but still have the grey awful skin.

What's wrong?

Did the upgrade not work?

I'd installed JR 23 under C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 23
Installed JR 24 into C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 24
Started JR 24 - didn't use the previous skin anymore.
Meantime JR 23 uninstalled.
Made changes in JR 24.
Restarted.
No change. Still the wrong one ...

That's the theater view skin. You want to go to: View -> Skin -> Noire

Thanks - this was the problem.

I typed "skin" in the Options menu and the Theater View was only found. Didn't realize that's under View. ;)

It's under the View Menu.  Please search the wiki if you need help.
