Title: Media server player access

My son was able to access (and change what was currently playing) via an IOS app called "8player DLNA / UPnP, SMB, FTP player" (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/8player/id622191019?mt=8) on his iPad with out entering the Media Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access) Key. Is there some 'other' setting to prevent this behavior or is this a bug? I use Gizmo on my Android tablet which requires the key to play anything...

Welcome to the forum.  The key looks up the IP address.  You could add authentication on the server so a login and password are required.
