Title: MC 9 Rating Stars
Post by: bc on June 07, 2003, 05:26:54 pm
How do I get rid of the rating stars and display the 1 through 5 rating system used in MJ 8.

My rating system was:

1-best
2-better
3-good
4-okay
5-doubtful

The * thing is confusing at best and takes too much column space. Why five digits when one does the job?

Not sure but I think you can change skins and it may not show.

You da King.

I found an ugly old skin that still uses 1-5.

Sure would be nice to have the option of whether to display *s or #s in all the skins.

Thanks

You can also edit the skin's main.xml file and comment out or remove the entry that starts with "<Entry Name="Rating".

XML comments are

Restart MC and you should have the numbers back.

i think once he does that he also will need to back it up because MC9 was overwriting the Distributed with package Skins so you would need to replace them with a modified copy each time he updates.
