9.1 is very unstable on my system. Crashes after a few seconds when trying to play MP3's, sometimes when just navigating the menus. Had occaisional problems with 9 so probably something my end :'(

Besides
here are two other problems
1. Microsoft Windows 98 SE
2. Intel Pentium II 300
this out dated ASPI also does not help

Since your computer is really old, i am sure it is using a really old video card and driver. if there is an update to the video driver this may help. I doubt there will be any drivers for that video card.
