Title: playback in 24/192 with new sound card

 Hi. I'm having trouble with 24/192 playback. I've upgraded my pc sound card. It samples up to 32/358. My dac samples up to 24/192.

I downloaded some tracks from HDtracks sampled at 24/192. The player tells me it has to downsample 24/192 to 24/96 (padded) to play back. The previous sound card is a creative sound blaster card as is the new one. All the DSP settings are the same on the player and it worked correctly with the previous card. Any suggestions ? Thank You

Different cards have different capabilities.  You could test from Windows Control Panel > Sounds.

Have you checked that you have the latest drivers for your new sound card?
