Title: no multichannel

when playing back multichannel files on my stereo laptop, media centre 24 will not play the file. Have tried jrss downmixing to 2 channel, been through all the menus, but nothing. Has anyone else had this problem.

Some more detail may help. Type of file, playing to what (DAC, sound card etc), what output device is selected, how it's configured (sample rates) etc. What's the error?

M-ch to 2 ch can and does work.
