Title: Relicencing
Post by: ananta108 on January 25, 2003, 04:16:19 am
Hi folks

I had to resintall winxp etc, so had to reinstall Jukebox, when I attempt to relicence from the original mjr file, I get error installing licence. I even have the exact code in a text file, that would not work on the internet restore, I gave my email to try that way, received the exact key as I already have, but how to I type it in manually in restore licence, it only seems to work by using an mjr file? Help!

Andy

You execute it by clicking on it in Windows Explorer.  Details are in the FAQ.

Yes, I have done the obvious, but my point is I get an error from Media Jukebox. Do I have to uninstall, and start afresh? Like I said I had a new installation of winXP

I did ask him in an e-mail and he said his date on his system was correct.

not sure about that but in the e-mail it said

>> I received an email from Mark Farmer, on
>> On 26/01/2003 at 15:04
so it seems correct

this error message was the same one that when the date was corrected it would fix the problem.

it seems he bought MJ back prior to the new license skeem and may have been issued an RRG file orginaly, and may have been sent a new key at some point since i have confermed he did have one.

if it is any good i can't tell him

also i don't know if he has tried it on MC9 since it should also work on MC9

My file is MJR type, I bought it about May-June last year roughly, I could check my statements.

I have uninstalled, and reinstalled nut no difference

Help?

Hi Andy,

I'll take a closer look in the morning when I get to work. In the meantime, could you send me your name and e-mail address you purchased under to gateley @ jriver.com?

Thanks,

j
