Title: Option for resuming previous playback time?
Post by: iieeann on July 31, 2018, 10:09:06 am
Hi, can anyone show me the option to enable MC to remember where previous playback stop so that i can resume playback? This is especially useful for long mp3 file (many songs in 1 mp3 file)

Read about bookmarking in the wiki. It is enabled by default for video and podcasts, but not regular music files. There is a library field that can be used to enable it.

If you set the Use Bookmarking tag to yes for the files then they will use the bookmark to start from where you left off. Worth checking in tools>options>general that resume playback using bookmark is set to automatic.

Thanks for showing the bookmarking feature, I managed to locate it.
However, I can only set the bookmarking on per file basis, i can't find the option to enable it for all audio files.  Is there a way to do so?

If you have all of your audio files visible in the display view window, you can select them all, right click on one select tag, set the bookmarking tag and every file will have it set. But this is a bit pointless for files with a short playing duration.
