Title: Seeing all the metadata in an image file?
Post by: Sapagrino on August 24, 2018, 09:04:04 am
For an audio file, When you right-click, Tag, you can then click the name and view all tags in the file even if there are not matching library fields they are mapped to.  That link to do that is not present for image files.

Am I missing it, or is there some other way to see all the tags in an image file from within the program?

I need to see what additional user fields would be good to create to pull in any such info.  For example, wondering if I can somehow bring in “Face” data.  I presume one of the third-party programs lets me see all data, but nice to have within MC too, like for audio.  Thanks.

When I right-click an image the "Tag" command is in the menu near the top.  It has the shortcut Alt+Enter.

Make sure you're running the latest version.

Thanks, Matt.  I can get to the tagging window.  I should be clearer.  I see now that, for audio files, what I recalled is now in the "Tag Dump" section at the bottom.  But, for image files, there is no "Tag Dump" section to see all the tags in the file.  Is there a way to see all those tags like you can for audio files?  Thanks again.

Yes, you can add a tag dump to the image view of the tag window.  Just customize the tagging window and look for "Add Tag Dump".
