I understand from reading the posts thus far that it's not possible to update the SERVER database when connected remotely from a MC client. You can modify ratings and change tags while you're listening to songs on the client MC but when you get back to the server you'll find that nothing has been updated... ie the connection is 'read only'. I would love to be able to update my music collection while listening to it at work over the 'net.... Is this somthing that can be included in a future version of media server?

Possibly, but it hasn't been a high priority.

I would really welcome this too.
Would sending beer help?

Would sending beer help?
Yes, send it all to me I will make sure they get it.
Rules:
1. No Domestic U.S. Beer
2. No Cans
3. Send It Fedex Over Night

Hmmm.. well seeing as this isn't a high priority ? and seeing as I drank all the beer I was about to send :P Does anyone know of a manual way/workaround to accomplish the same thing as remote synchronization? ie: Make changes while listening remotely and synchronize or something when you get back home?

no.
but we talked about this before.
Like media Server Could Have two Passwords
One For Admin Login, And the current One for Access to play music (if you wish to use it)
