Title: JRiver WDM Driver shows up as Devialet AIR (JRiver Media Center 24) [Solved]
Post by: Manfred on September 09, 2018, 11:21:24 am
This afternoon I did a new clean install of my Media Renderer.

-Devialet AIR is uninstalled (I checked that three times and you don't find it anymore with Win Explorer in the filesystem on C:)

When I install the WDM Driver and restart MC one finds the following two Output Devices:

-Devialet AIR (JRiver Media Center 24) WASAPI
-Devialet AIR (JRiver Media Center 24) Direct Sound

This looks like the WDM Driver?
Any Idea what is happening?

I believe it's only the name.  Do they work?

Yes- playing from Qobuz using the WDM Driver "Devialet AIR (JRiver Media Center 24)" in exclusive mode works perfect. Its only the name. Can I correct that?

Maybe.  Try uninstalling the driver and then re-installing MC.

If you look in windows device manager under Sound video & Game controllers you will probably see the WDM driver properly described. Go to Settings>sound Select the Devialet Air (JRiver Media Center 24) driver as your default driver then click on device properties and change the name there.

Thanks swiv3d and JimH. Device manager: ok -> renaming it under Setting->sound solved the problem.
