Title: Sound quality through remote access
Post by: DangerJP on September 14, 2018, 12:57:14 pm
Hi,

I'm using TeamViewer to remotely access my home PC from work. My home PC runs MC24 and I've configured a dedicated audio zone using the Default audio device (Direct Sound) output. With this set up, I can play music on my home PC and the sound is streamed to my work PC.

So far, the sound quality with this set up seems inferior to the sound obtained from MC24 running in a local folder on my work PC.

Is this an expected behavior ?
Is there any technical limitations which could lead to a sound degradation through a remote access ?

Maybe it's just a matter of volume levels (MC running on my work PC sounds "louder" than MC through remote access...).

Thanks !
