Last time I checked, transcoding live TV didn't work. Is there a reason for that? Any chance of implementing this? Also, any chance of getting hardware accelerated transcoding (IE: NVENC)
-
Why do you need to transcode live TV?
-
I travel a lot. Currently using Emby to do this, but would rather have an all in 1 solution.
-
FYI If you want to watch live tv from a remote then EOS can do that (it is the only remote to date that has implemented the calls back to MC to do this)
-
What is EOS?

One of the 3rd Part Android Remotes for MC.

I assume you would like to take a show that was recorded from live TV, and transcode it for travel. I do this all the time (to mp4), works fine though tediously slow. The new version of FFMpeg embedded with Media Center supports hardware decode/encode, but this isn't enabled by Media Center UI. I've been asking for a while, but is does not appear to be slated for development.

No, I do that as well. I'm looking for an option of encoding Live TV...IE: selecting a program from the guide, and watching it remotely. I have a solution for this, but I am always concerned about tuner conflicts, etc.
-
i would like to see this added as well

Any more thoughts on this from the developers on this? I HATE using Plex/Emby for this.
