Title: Expired Demo Message
Post by: modelmaker on May 31, 2003, 04:00:05 pm
The last 4or5 times I've opened my registered MC9(179) I keep getting the "demo version of MC has expired, please purchase, etc..." message. I checked the "registration info" tap and the correct info is there.

I purchased MJ8 but couldn't upgrade to MC9 because my registration wasn't valid (?) or something. Rather than go through all the hassel I went ahead and purchased MC9 and have installed every build since and for the most part I'm pretty satisfied... until now.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know how to restore my license. I guess I didn't ask the question I should have, which is why this happens???.I used to heve the same problem from time to time with MJ8 as well. This little quirk doesn't happen in other apps, music or otherwise.

Yes, I do have a registered DFX, but it's not DFX that's prompting me and when it heppened with MJ8 I didn't have the DFX plugin. How could this affect this situation?

I must confess my ignorance here, how do I take this 'snapshot"?

The keystrokes are Ctrl-PrintScreen on NT/W2k/XP systems. That will put it in the copy buffer, then with an image editor you can paste it in as a new image. Cut it down in size and save it as a jpg, png, or gif...then post.

you would then need to place this picture on your web site or server and provide a link to it.

it may sound like allot but it only takes maybe 60 seconds  to do

You could also just describe exactly what you see, in words.

You can slap me! This was an operator malfunction. I didn't read the whole text - just assumed it was telling me MC9 demo had expired when in fact I downloaded some of the demo plugins for Album View(the demo that actually expired) and a few others. I promise to pay more attention in the future! :-[

I know how it is, but if your driving from point A read the whole sign or you may get to point C and never find your way back to point B
