Title: Unknown entry
Post by: audiogym65 on September 22, 2018, 04:12:35 pm
Yesterday, I received the email regarding the Servers being compromised. I checked my music library for anything that did not look familiar, and I noticed a file for an artist that I have never downloaded or purchased a disc of. I immediately deleted it. That being said, is there anything that I need to do with/to my JRiver account to protect myself? Do this unknown entry indicate that someone was in my JRiver media center?

Have you been using any of the streaming radio station JRiver Radio or Radio Paradise, because these can add a reference to the online file. I doubt if a hacker would donate free music files to you or anyone else. I have set up an empty library called Streaming which I use for any streaming activities so that these odd files don't appear in my main library. If you select files in the audio tree look for files with an https:// prefix.

Brevity, a laudable but unexpected virtue.
