Gents - I recently upgraded Android Tablets and in my wisdom did not transfer the EOS APK for installation on the new
units. Now I am having trouble finding the download link for EOS.
Please advise the situation as I preferred using EOS to GIZMO and JRemote.
Thank you and regards.

From what I can tell it was removed from the Google Play Store and it's not appearing in my list of available apps anymore and it's not appearing when searching for it either. It hasn't been updated in several years and the author is MIA, as far as I know. It's probably up to the author to re-add the app to the Play Store. Maybe somebody else has more information?
Besides Gizmo and JRemote the only other remote for JRiver on the Play Store for Android devices right now is MO 4Media. It's a relatively new remote, but it's quickly becoming one of the best remotes out there. Plus it's actively developed which is always a plus.

THANKS for this. I recently got an Nvidia Shield TV and was sad to see no JRemote or Gizmo for it was available. MO 4Media supports Android TV, and I can't wait to try it. Thanks cncb for making it. Now off topic: Having seen what the Shield can do hardware wise, it really needs a fuller MC app for non DLNA "native" playback of video and audio.

EOS is still my favorite JRiver remote. I was looking to add it to a new device and noticed it was gone from the play store. After some searching I tracked down a free fully functioning copy. I don't feel bad about getting it from a free site b/c I was probably one of the last ppl who paid the developer for the app before they removed it from google play.
I'm putting a copy of the .apk away in cold storage for future use.

The free site apk link doesn't seem to be working. Like you, I am a paying customer and would like to have an archive copy if I get a non-Samsung device to which I cannot transfer existing apps directly.

I have just made a complete wipe of my OnePlus5, and now discover that EOS is not available anymore. That is really a shame.
If possible, I would love to get a copy of your EOS apk, as the site mentioned beneath does not work.

I am in the same boat, I bought eos almost two years ago, but my phone died and needed to be replaced, and now I can't get eos. :(
I would like to have eos again, if any one could help.

Me too. Paid for it about a year ago. New phone and now it's gone for good :-(

MO 4Media is my go to on the phone these days. The developer has been very responsive to feedback and is even working on an ios version. I have tried it on the Shield and it is OK. One problem I can think of is that when you start a movie (MKV) it automatically uses subtitles. You can turn them off but need to do it for each file. It does seem to remember your choice. I have not done enough research to see if it will still use forced subtitles after you turn them off. It is nice that there is an Anroid TV option.
If JRiver can get a proper client going on the Android TV I think they will have a real hit.

EOS is still available and working on this site: https://www.apkmonk.com/app/com.lenworthrose.eos.trial/ However it is an older version 3.2.0 but for me it works just fine on my Samsung S21. I am only using JRiver for music not movies.

I'd recommend exercising caution when downloading and sideloading APK files like this, as you have no idea if there's any malware embedded or not. Would definitely recommend looking into JRemote2 and/or MO 4Media as replacements for the eos Android app or using Panel in a web browser. Even Gizmo still works well enough.

I have an apk of EOS 5.4.0, that I use.
For me, EOS works heaps better than any of the other android remote apps. MO 4Media was promising, but I refuse to pay a yearly subscription fee for a remote app.

Pulling up a zombie thread here, but: I bought a OnePlus 12 today, and I can't install my APK of EOS. When trying from Total Commander it says that the app is not compatible with my phone. But I have been using it up to now on my Huawei P30 with fully updatede Android 12. Is there that much of a change from Android 12 to 14? It's just incredibly annoying. I have installed Gizmo for now, but that's really not a good replacement. I'm very much a Rain Man when it comes to my phone so I don't want any changes, just a newer and faster phone. Everything else should stay the same...
Panic averted with ADB. Got a tip that worked: adb install --bypass-low-target-sdk-block eos.apk
