Title: Ejecting IPOD Handheld Device - How to?

After I sync with my iPod, I have 2 ways to safely disconnect the device.

1.  "Eject Device" option in MC via a right click on "Drive I"

2.  "Safely Remove Hardware" option in the taskbar in the lower right corner of my Win XP screen

Either of these methods yields an "OK to disconnect" message on my iPod.  Does it matter which I use?

It makes no difference, as long as the iPOD no longer shows the 'Do Not Disconnect' icon.
