my version of the media center 22 for mac will not open. I keep getting "The last time you opened Media Center 22, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?"
When I try to reopen its windows again it keeps repeating. I have tried to uninstall and redownload my version of media center 22, but it keeps repeating its The last time you opened Media Center 22, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?
What can I do? I am very happy with this version. It does everything I need to do.

Is there another thing I can type in terminal. I am using MC22 and that didn't work. I tried again and changed 25 to 22 and that still did not work.
I am using the new Apple Catalina version 10.15.1.

Does this workaround not work anymore?

Otherwise the obvious problem is, older MC versions may not work on newer macOS builds. Apple tends to make major changes to the OS and since older MC versions aren't developed anymore, those changes can break older MC versions on newer macOS. This happened last year when Mojave was released and adding older MC versions to the Accessibility list were required to get it working. This year macOS Catalina introduced the requirement of notarizing apps, which older MC versions aren't and won't be because development on those older versions has long ended (however the latest MC25 builds are notarized for macOS Catalina).
Windows has much better "backwards compatibility" and is VERY forgiving when using older MC versions on newer versions of Windows. But macOS is different and again because older MC versions aren't developed anymore and because Apple pushes older app breaking updates in macOS, I actually would recommend upgrading your MC version every year or two, especially if you a) run newer Macs and/or b) update macOS to the latest versions available (e.g. Catalina right now).
