Title: media center = not able to check for updates?

I can not check for updates. I get error failed to connect to server

It's working.  There could be a firewall problem or a backbone problem on the Internet.

There are all kinds of strange things that can happen.  Microsoft created a problem in a patch recently and then pulled it from their site when users reported that it affected their Internet connection.
