Just bought this and now I find dozens of bugs. What's going on with this? Don't you bother testing your software? I know I do!

That's not a bug. It's a problem on your system and it could be antivirus or some other "security" software.
Uninstall any antivirus software (not just disable it). Provide some more details. Install MC again and report any specific errors during installation.

Thousands of people have installed MC24 with no problems, a few individuals have had problems during installation which are generally due to either their firewall or antivirus software interfering in the process.

I'm not uninstalling my anti-virus software...that's insane. And the message I got was the message I posted.

Overzealous antivirus/antimalware software is known to cause issues like this. Of course, it could be an incomplete download doing it too - you might try redownloading the installer and trying again. If it still gives you the message, the antivirus/antimalware software is the likely culprit.
