Title: Delay in Sound Output When Streaming Tidal
Post by: natesmoney on November 02, 2018, 07:22:04 am
I am experiencing a 10 second delay in sound output when I'm streaming Tidal thru MC24.  The delay occurs on the first track I play after I open Tidal, or if I change tracks.  If  I DON'T CHANGE TRACKS the delay does not happen after the first track I play! The audio signal is getting to MC24 immediately after I click play, and the delay does not occur when I stream directly from Tidal.  I'm using a Schiit Bitfrost Dac, the Tidal desktop app, and a dedicated Dell laptop.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Have a fantastic day!!

This is a known quirk in the WDM driver right now. Its already fixed for the next driver release, which will actually be in 24.0.61, once that is available.

Thanks Hendrik.  Is 24.0.61 the name of the next version of MC? I assume I'll be able to update my version of MC. What's the ETA for the new driver release?  THANKS AGAIN!!

They never know what the next build release publicly will be - it depends how well beta testing goes usually. But when 24.0.61 or a version higher than 61 is released to the public, it'll contain the fix. :)
