Title: Keeping MC settings during a PC Re-image
Post by: thezone on November 05, 2018, 12:58:36 am
Hi all,

I have configured MC with some very specific settings, is it possible to save and then recover all of these during a W10 re-image?

I don't want to have to reconfigure everything.

The library settings seem simple enough but what about all the user setting, options etc?

Thanks

A restore from a MC backup covers the vast majority of things; but maybe not quite everything you may need. The current skin is not recorded for example.

Try a fresh install of MC (in a VM or another PC) restore into that and see if anything key is missing before you blow away your original.

Image the machine before you blow it away, as a matter of course, if it's important to you.

So from this other similar thread here  https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,118090.0.html (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,118090.0.html) and according to the library backup wiki it appears that a Library back up will keep all my user settings and also DSP.

Awesome.

Juts wondering  about madvr settings?
